Post #12: Catholic Graduate Expectations
In each 7 expectations there are meanings to be a successful catholic graduate. To be one we have to follow all the 7 expectations to be a proper graduate by the time we students arrive to high-school .
"A self- directed responsible, lifelong learner who develops and demonstrates their God-given potential." I am a discerning believer in the catholic community. I do celebrate God's presence through words, actions, reflections and prayer. I pray everyday before I go eat and before I go to bed. I always pray and ask God the things I am having trouble with during my life or my relatives. Each day I look outside my window it will always be a great day which makes me happy.
"An effective communicator who speaks, writes, listens honestly and sensitively, responding critically in the light of gospel values." I am an effective communicator. I always speak from my perspective. I write by the things people tell me to do to make me successful. I listen honestly and sensitively by not distracting myself in all the things that are going on in my mind. I may not try to distract myself but sometimes the things we need to be working is what we need going through life. I respond critically in the light of gospel values by reading passages from the bible, if I have time my parents and my sister reads the bible altogether to keep us safe. I always pray the Our Father, Hail Mary and Angel of God to protect me from all the bad things that has been going bad. I will have to give some of my time to read the bible more to respect and to thank God for being there for me.
"A discerning believer formed in the Catholic Faith community who celebrates the signs and sacred mystery of God's presence through word, sacrament, prayer, forgiveness, reflection and moral living." I am a great thinker to be honest with the things I love and to get my tough problems out. I hate to leave them just there to bug me everyday and not be over it. I am reflective when I most likely read and brainstorm all the things that are happening. What I have learned from what others do is to be creative and by adding the things I can do rather than saying and not doing I can't do it. I don't call a piece great if I have given my best into it. I am a holistic person by not just thinking but by making the right decisions and being responsible, choosing the right path will bring me to a greater one. I don't just do the things I like, I think and revise before I do it
"A reflective, creative and holistic thinker who solves problems and makes responsible decisions with an informed moral conscience for the common good." I do show my great God-given talents. I am proud to have and keep them. I don't hide them. I am sort of a life-long learner, not so much. I don't really love learning new stuff everyday but it's for my own good. Learning something new is like something that you really wanted to do in life. Going through a new whole world each day I have learned a lot of new things. It is like a special word that has been added in my inventory. I am a responsible and less of a self-directed learner. I am responsible for watching everything I do but when it comes to being self-directed I don't really teach myself or work alone. I try my best to work alone but being alone is like just nothing. I love working in partners or groups to help me understand what is going on between my partner and I. It is a fun thing to do for being self-directed but sometimes we need help. Trying my best to self- teach myself is a new way for me to getting to be just on my own. Learning by yourself is a lot of fun. Doing this will help us learn from our mistakes and improve by yourself. Relying on someone the whole time will never help you get through life but just being by yourself will help.
"A collaborative contributor who finds meaning, dignity and vocation in work which respects the rights of all and contributes to the common good." I do have collaboration and contribution in everything. I work/help everyone. In my opinion I believe something or someone has something great to offer. I always tell people to always try and do their best and have fun while doing it. It improves our relationship with everyone to work together as a team. Ever since I was the new student at my school I am always the quiet one but once I got the chance to interact with the students I got to know them very well and become more confident in myself. Just by asking them the first thing that comes up in my head will always bring the relationship closer. It is disrespectful if I just do this to myself without everyone not welcoming each and everyone of us students. Just by gathering altogether in a group, projects will mostly contribute their own ideas rather than feeling left out. Showing everyone that we are all the same is not being afraid of who you are inside and out.
"A caring family member who attends to family, school, parish and other wider community." I am a caring and protective member of my family, friends, school, parish and the community. I take care of my little sister and protect her while she protects me back. Everyday, I try to participate and focus on my family not always my friends. I care for my friends just as much as I care for myself. Avoiding violence is the best/fun thing to do from one another. We all don't leave anyone out because no ones alone, everyone is protected. Just hanging out with my friends at the mall and other places are fun but we just have to be careful and avoid talking to strangers or weird people. I also care for my school and parish. I clean the stuff around the class or whatever is around me. Every single time I see garbage I feel like its disrespecting the whole school and parish to have loitering around. I care for my community and other. I try my best to offer people my help if they need anything to be done with. I try to be a helpful person around everyone.
"A responsible citizen who gives witness to Catholic social teaching by promoting peace, justice and the sacredness of human life." Lastly, I am a responsible citizen who tries her best to promote peace, justice and sacredness of human life. I try to show peace and not violence because it is the solution to everyone's problem. Equal rights and justice among people must respect and love one another. Every single one of us has our own differences but are still the same. We are all human beings. We all eat, sleep, and breath. We all have to choose our right decisions. We can control ourselves to do anything but always remember the Lord gave us a life to live and be safe. We cannot waste these days. Enjoying everything and not regret doing something we could not have done is because of stress and anger. We should move on and start a new one. Have fun and enjoy the rest of our lives because remember the world is not bad as it seems but even though we have been through darkness, there will always be that shining light to lead us to the right path just waiting for us to be walked on.
